Monroe County Medical Society

Candlyn S. nominated Lucia C. and Monroe County Medical Society. Here is the submission: "At the Henrietta branch Lucia is one of our members and she has nothing but great things to say about us and hands flyers out to at MCMS. She lets the medical students know about the products Kinecta offers to help them have a local bank since a lot of them are from different states. Their mission to help anyone in the medical field and be an advocate for them is very inspiring."

Black Girls Green Futures (Earth Island)

David F. nominated Tashanda G.J. and Black Girls Green Futures. Here is the submission: "Black Girl Green Futures equips grassroots women leaders with technical tools, entrepreneurial skills, financial resources, and networks of support to scale their solutions for change. Their impactful work extends to young women in the Gardena and Hawthorne communities, empowering them with the knowledge and resources to become leaders in environmental sustainability and social change. Through their partnership with Environmental Charter School, Black Girl Green Future provides students with hands-on learning experiences that foster leadership, environmental stewardship, and financial literacy. By equipping these young women with critical skills and mentorship, Black Girl Green Future helps create a generation of change-makers who are prepared to drive meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.”

South Bay Judo

Connie T. nominated Ed S. and South Bay Judo. Here is the submission: "I would like to nominate Ed Shiosaki, founder of South Bay Judo. South Bay Judo goes beyond teaching the physical aspects of judo; it emphasizes the importance of discipline, respect, teamwork, and perseverance, values that stay with participants throughout their lives. This non-profit organization consistently creates an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of background or ability, is encouraged to grow. They not only provide athletic training, but also support personal development, helping students build confidence, self-esteem, resilience, respect and kindness towards each other. Moreover, South Bay Judo plays a crucial role in preserving and sharing the rich history and culture of judo. The organization honors the traditions and techniques that have been passed down through generations."

Interval House

Shara D. nominated Lorena B. and Interval House. Here is the submission: "Interval House is currently working with a Leadership Group to help two battered women currently in their shelters. Lorena is always going above and beyond to help her residents and that is why I would like to nominate her for the Kinecta Kindness Award.”

Culture Shock Los Angeles 

Alison T. nominated Arnel C. and Culture Shock Los Angeles. Here is the submission: "Arnel is someone who goes above and beyond to help others. Aside from being a leader in the arts community, he has combined his work as a Doctor of Occupational Therapy with his love of dance to create an inclusive dance program 'Awesome Shock' for youth with special needs.”

Old Blue, Inc.

Elizabeth G. nominated Molly Z. and Old Blue, Inc. Here is the submission: "Molly is a volunteer at the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, CA. Her dedication to the wellbeing and successful adoption of dogs has led to her creating Old Blue Inc., a non-profit that funds medical expenses for senior dogs at the shelter and helps them get adopted.”

Veronica C. nominated Cinder E.K. and The Glass Slipper Foundation. Here is the submission: "Cinder Eller Kimbell founded "The Glass Slipper, A Youth Foundation" to support and guide the young people in her community. Cinder has emerged as a true beacon of kindness and love, exemplifying the positive impact that genuine care and compass can have on the lives of the youth."

Starbridge

They help families with education, transitioning to adulthood, and finding work. They offer support for the families to achieve success in education, employment, and healthy living."

During the last two years, she has grown not only socially but also developmentally. She has been welcomed with unwavering warmth and support, and met where she was and is now being challenged to grow. Janice and the staff have been a consistent support for my daughter and me. We have come to look at Never Say Never Stable as an integral part of our family. THANK YOU!”

FISH / RHAFT, Inc.Candlyn S. nominated Audrey B. and FISH / RHAFT, Inc. Here is the submission: "FISH / RHAFT is a local food pantry in Henrietta that helps out families and people in need of food and supplies. They also offer transportation for people in the Henrietta area. They rely heavily on donations from churches, businesses, schools, and community groups."
