World Down Syndrome Day
Everywhere
Join the Kinectabilities Disability Inclusion and Outreach ERG as we rock our crazy socks for World Down Syndrome Day! World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is an annual celebration on March 21. It’s a global awareness day officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. March 21 was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down Syndrome.
Help us support people with Down Syndrome and encourage families, advocates, professionals, and organizations to observe WDSD with your own activities.
Wear your crazy socks on March 21.
